Club Zien: Ogenschijnlijk
See art through the eyes of music and sound
How does what you hear also influence what you see? How do sounds you hear every day combine with works of art from the museum? Does this music match the work you are looking at? Can you create your own soundtrack to a work of art? With silent disco headphones on, pupils are challenged to explore and make the connection between what they hear and what they see.
At Ogenschijnlijk, pupils, as a group but also in pairs, will work on linking sounds and music to visual art. By doing various viewing and listening tasks, pupils look at the works in the museum from different perspectives. Sounds from everyday life that are very common then take on a whole new sound in the museum galleries.
After the section in the museum, pupils get to work in the workshop room to create their own soundtrack to a chosen work of art.
