Cindy Moorman

The choir performed several times in works by artist Cindy Moorman In addition to our physical presence, she mainly 'uses' us for our sound. Often a single tone that we have to sustain for minutes. We have always enjoyed working with her.

We did this in Gebouw WG, Amsterdam (2016) and in Gallery Garage, Rotterdam (2017) with (Untitled) tijdelijk verdwijnen. As part of Land Art Live - Pier+Horizon at Kraggenburg in the Noordoostpolder (2017) we sang in her de Constructies. There was royal interest in her performance on December 7, 2018 in Museum Voorlinden in Wassenaar.
In Paradiso in Amsterdam we sang in her the We on January 23, 2020. She used a recording of this performance in the We online, a website promoting solidarity in corona time. And she put the same recording in a medallion: the I | the We (2022).

Commissioned by the Van Abbemuseum, she also created a work for us: the Objects (2018), which is now part of the museum's collection. You can read and hear more about this work on our 5x5x5 page.
